On Dec. 13, 2014, at 1:57 a.m., Patrolman Thomas Chant conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 70 in the area of Sam Pitts Road after the driver of a 1999 Green Plymouth Voyager was observed to be speeding and not maintaining his lane of travel.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as 43 year old Scott Montoro of West Saint Joseph Street in Easton, Pa. After some roadside tests Montoro was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. His passenger, 31 year old Crystal Cwiklik of Jefferson Court in Brick, was found to have outstanding warrants out of Edison, N.J. She was arrested and both were transported to Manchester Police Head Quarters for processing. The vehicle was impounded in accordance with Johns Law.

Cwiklik was released on recognizance from Edison Court. Montoro was found to have $1,000 in outstanding warrants out of Seaside Heights Police. He was turned over to that jurisdiction after being charged and released on summons in Manchester for speeding, failure to maintain his lane of travel, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, operating a vehicle while suspended in N.J.
