On November 10, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m., members of the Ocean County Regional S.W.A.T. Team and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit assisted the Manchester Township Police Investigations Unit with the execution of a court authorized search warrant at a Nathan Avenue home in the Summit Park section of the Township.

The search warrant was a direct result of information supplied by a concerned citizen. While conducting the search, a Double Star, Star-15, 5.56 mm rifle and three high capacity loaded magazines were located inside the residence. Due to its configuration and features, the rifle was classified as a prohibited assault firearm under New Jersey Law.

As a result of the investigation, 21 year old, Ty-Quan Jones, 23 year old, Fu-Quan Jones, and 21 year old, Qualeik Williams, all of Nathan Avenue, were arrested and subsequently charged with one count of possession of an assault firearm, three counts of possession of high capacity magazines and one count of possession of a rifle without a permit. Ty-Quan Jones and Qualeik Williams were also charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams.

Manchester Municipal Court Judge Daniel F. Sahin set bail for all three individuals at $100,000.00 with no 10 percent option. All three were transported to the Ocean County Jail in default of bail.
